I did a credit transfer programme from Malaysia, as such I only studied in University of Queensland for my final year of bachelor's degree. Although I only spent a short time at UQ, it was definitely an awesome experience that I would treasure forever.
The course - The lecturers were very knowledgeable in their respective fields and very friendly. The course content was very interesting and challenging. I had to do a group video presentation regarding the changes of accounting standard and how it affected firms from different industries. Assignment such as these helps broaden my knowledge by learning how to apply what I learn in class.
St. Lucia Campus - The uni campus was just spectacular. How many people in the world can say that they take a ferry to class? Lol I don't know where to even begin. The campus has 2 bus stops and 1 ferry terminal. There is about 6 of 24/7 libraries which are filled with high tech computers. I have met students who actually spent the whole night at the library during the swot vac period. There are many cafes on campus so you will never feel hungry. The sport facilities are great too. There is even a theater on campus! Student support services is great as it helps us with the transition from an oversea country and guiding us on our career paths. Throughout the year, there are many interesting events to participate in such as Market day, the great court race and many more. The lakes area is very scenic and it is nice to take a walk around there at the end of the day. Besides that, there are many museums around for you to explore and the exhibition changes every few months and it is completely free!
I miss my time at UQ very much and I wish to have the opportunity to study there again for my post-grad one day. I would definitely recommend anyone to study at UQ especially those who intend to pursue a degree in Accounting and Finance.
P.s.: The 2nd photo was a pic I took during my study break. I was in the library. The left building is a art museum and the right building is the first building ever built on the St. Lucia campus.
