Bachelor of Actuarial Studies @ MQ

It has a nice open environment with lots of space.
The library is often full as there are few seats available.

Actuarial Studies is a very hard course, particularly in 3rd year where the difficulty ramps up several fold. Some of the lecturers are very good, but there are others who I have trouble understanding.

There is a wide variety of different foods available at Macquarie University and if that's not enough, Macquarie Shopping Centre is about 10 minutes away.

Although I am a very introverted person, I feel I've found many friends who I will be in contact with for a very long time to come.

4 Hey, thanks! That's good info!

I'm an international student that stayed in dorm during my university days. I made a lot of friends and enjoyed spending time with them. In time, I also learned a lot about different cultures.

This is my first month in MQ and I am really enjoying my time here. The academic staff are highly qualified and they have a lot of experience in their field of work; they know what they are talking about!
I think the student societies were very helpful in terms of socializing. You get to meet people doing the same course (not just in your year, but the year above also) and that helps ease transition to uni.
MQ has a big campus. The highlight would definitely be the Macquarie Lake for me as you find different species of birds and ducks around that location. And of course, a big campus means a lot of walking :)
